ShortList is a white hat link building service. We essentially write guest posts and link to you, removing the onerous tasks of doing prospecting, outreach, writing, etc. Our goal is for you to sit back and get quality, DoFollow links.
What makes ShortList different from many other link building services out there is our transparency and adherence to quality. We have a very rigorous review process, and we're very open about it.
We review thousands of potential targets and only approve a small fraction. We classify websites as "Good" and "Premium". All websites have to meet the following standards, which guarantees that the website has Trust, Authority, and Organic Traffic.
Moz Domain Authority
Measure of the power of a domain and is one of many search engine ranking factors. Domain authority is based on three factors: Age. Popularity, and Size. It is a logarithmic scale from 0-100, the higher the better.
Trust Flow / Citation Flow
A site has a high amount of Trust Flow and low Citation Flow means that the links pointing to that site are from very trustworthy sources. Typically this score is from 0 - 1 and the higher the better.
Number of unique referring domains.
Number of total backlinks.
MozRank is a term derived by SEOmoz's logarithmically scaled 10-point measurement of website linking authority or popularity of a given page on the internet. MozRank is essentially a link popularity score that reflects the importance of a web page on the Internet in relation to others.
MozTrust is SEOmoz's global link trust score. It is similar to MozRank but rather than measuring link popularity, it measures link trust. Receiving links from sources which have inherent trust, such as the homepages of major university websites or certain governmental web pages, is a strong trust endorsement.
Moz Spam Score
Number of Spam indicators out of 17 that are commonly found on penalized sites.
Ahrefs Organic Traffic
Estimate for monthly organic traffic.
We guarantee them for 12 months. There's no reason why it shouldn't be "forever", but we can't have people coming back to us in 3 years asking for a refund because someone decided to shut down their site, so 12 months seems reasonable.
You can order as few or as many as you want.
We personally don't know own any sites that we work with. Our standards are designed to weed out low quality websites, PBNs, etc. Regardless, we cannot guarantee that the site is not somebody's PBN, as that's very hard to tell.
We discourage this because it interrupts the flow and slows down delivery. That is why we have a rigorous review process so you can trust us to choose the write sites for you.
On occasion, yes. Some bloggers request money for the time it takes to review the article and post it, which in our opinion is fair. This is not disclosed in the article.
For a standard order of around 5-10 links our goal is around 6 weeks. This is due to the amount of time it takes to secure the opportunities, write the article, and communicate with the blogger. Regardless we send updates at the beginning of each month.
If you're not happy with a link, just let us know and we will remove it from your invoice.
It is part of the business model to try to include several clients in a single article. This is what allows us to keep the prices reasonable. We only include relevant, non competing clients in in each article.
Very occasionally we might permit a site that is slightly lower than the metrics that we advertise here. Most likely this is a site that is on the border, which we've manually reviewed and feel is quality.
